Dr Robert Lefever has been a general practitioner since 1966, and in 1976 founded the PROMIS Unit of Primary Care in South Kensington, London. For more information about the PROMIS Unit, please follow the link to the left of the page.
In 1986 Robert established the PROMIS Recovery Centre in Nonington, Kent, a forty-four bed treatment centre for depressive illness and all forms of addictive or compulsive behaviour.
In 1993 the PROMIS Counselling Centre was opened in South Kensington for out-patient assessment, treatment and family programmes. Subsequently Robert established a Juvenile Unit and Extended Care Units. |

Dr Robert Lefever has been a speaker at conferences in the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Nigeria.
Robert is also a frequent broadcaster on radio and television, and a contributor to various newspapers and periodicals, and along with Professor Geoffrey Stephenson of the University of Kent at Canterbury, a contributor to various research publications. |
